Women's Unversity Club of Seattle: 33rd Annual Autumn Holiday Fair
Dear Friends:This looks like a fun event and I am privileged to participate as a vendor. In addition to great shopping for yourself or others, you will also be helping the Women’s University Club, which is non-profit and was founded in 1914 “to form a closer union of university women in order to promote outstanding educational, cultural, and social activities”. Among other activities, the WUC, through its foundation, “honors young women of outstanding character, achievement, leadership and public service” with scholarships. SparkDesigns will be donating a percentage of sales to WUC to help continue this important work.
I look forward to seeing you there. RSVP is only necessary for lunch.

One Black and White Necklace...A Week's Worth of Fantastic Looks
We all want to look great when we travel without taking our whole closet with us. As a jewelry designer, I have found that a bag of wonderful accessories means you can take a lot fewer clothing pieces. I am heading to Boston this week and will be taking this necklace: Black and white shell pearls in my trinkets style ($350). Shell Pearls are fabulous stones I discovered last year which are made from reconstituted (meaning ground up!) Mother-of-Pearl, shaped and laquered. Real pearls in these sizes and shapes would cost a fortune! Then I will take my "wardrobe" of pendants (shown here in faceted onyx and sterling silver; amber and African batik bone; magnasite [look alike turquoise] cross and crystal; dream agate and crystal; and jumbo red coral with African batik bone, prices range from $75 - $250 for the pendants) along with matching black and white shell pearl earrings and two more pairs of earrings in red and turquoise. For bracelets, I wear three bangles in red, black and turquoise resin, layering and switching them up. I'll take basic black skirt, top and pants, one black and white jacket, one red shirt, one long floaty black gauze layering tank and one yellow scarf, one pair of boots and one pair of flat shoes. My small size suitcase will weigh about 20 lbs and that's with my workout clothes in there, too. And I get compliments everyday. And all of these pieces sail right through airport security without so much as a ding! Try it and let me know how goes!
Happy Traveling!

Tribal Inspired Bangles from Spiegel - a great SparkDesigns coordinate
I love bangles and when I see fun ones, especially at a great price, I grabbed them. My new Spiegel catalog just came and these were on the first page. With a purchase, they are $5 each, but they are only $19 each if you buy nothing else. They will really coordinate well with SparkDesigns using the African batik beads. Gray is the new Black (Again)
Every Season it seems there’s a new color that is the new black! As we know, black is great. It always makes me laugh, but gray does seem to be hot right now. Here’s how I have interpreted gray in new Top Left: two shapes of gray cultured pearls, can be worn long or doubled (as shown), $140. Top right: pear shaped baroque pearls, dark gray, simple and elegant, bee motif pewter clasp, $245. Bottom left: new rope style using dark gray pear shape baroque pearls interspersed with gray cultured pearls, accented with large silver gray shell pearls, a real statement necklace, $275. Bottom right: large (thumb-size) oval shell pearls, silver gray with crystal and onyx accents, $260.
